Mission

The Mission of the Magellan Program is to help orient and prepare first-year Pre-Terry students for business environments through hard and soft skill development, and to encourage values-based growth no matter the direction or career path.

Purpose

The Magellan Program is an expedited, semester-long program for first-year Pre-Terry students housed under Atlas Business Society. Comprised of 50-55 members and weekly workshops, this program will help freshmen create polished resumes, build LinkedIn profiles, interview successfully, and develop leadership skills during their first or second semester on campus.

Background

The Magellan Program was founded with the mission of providing an academically stimulating and socially engaging first and second semester for Pre-Terry students. Housed under the Atlas Business Society, this program was designed to draw from the resources Atlas had in place to provide more students the opportunity to grow their business acumen. The Fall 2020 inaugural class was the first to begin paving the way to developing successful business students and leaders in the Terry College.
