Class of 2021 LinkedIN

Professional Experience: United Capital, a Goldman Sachs Company as a Wealth Advisor Intern; Technology and Operations Summer Analyst at BlackRock

Campus Involvement: Terry Ambassadors, ILA Scholars, Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), Delta Sigma Pi, Arch Society, University Judiciary, Resident Assistant

Favorite Part of Atlas: My favorite part of Atlas are the connections/friendships. Outside of the guest speakers and employers we get to network with, being able to meet so many likeminded people so early on in Terry is invaluable. Atlas has connected me with some of my closest friends and I wouldn't be where I am today without the program.

Advice for New Members:  Go to Terry events! These events can be daunting at first for Freshmen and Sophomores, but the more you go to the faster you'll become comfortable with networking. Secondly, don't be afraid to reach out to upperclassmen. If there's a club you want to be involved with or a company you're interested in working for, ask for advice from the older students who have had experience in those areas. We want to help!

Professional Experience: Investment Banking Summer Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey

Campus Involvement: Apollo President, Corsair Society, SMIF member, Terry Ambassador

Favorite Part of Atlas: Having the opportunity at what Kobe Bryant says "The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do."

Advice for New Members: Reach out early. It's ok if you do not know what you want to do. Talking to as many people as possible will churn your brain and give you ideas. From there, start honing in on people who are related to that field of interest. From that point on, you need to be an expert in that field, researching as much as possible and figuring out exactly what it is you want to do. And along the way, make sure you are helping people like you were helped.

Favorite Part of Atlas: The mentorship program is my favorite part about Atlas.

Advice for New Members: My advice for new members would be to take full advantage of the resources in Atlas. Many members think coming to the Atlas sessions is good enough, but there are many resources beyond that. I think to get the full experience and understand the value in Atlas is to meet with your mentor and get to know the other members.

Favorite Part of Atlas: My favorite part of Atlas by far was connecting and getting know other members. Our members come from all over the United States, even internationally, and it is so enriching to hear about their experiences, backgrounds, and passions. Everyone has a unique story to tell. Additionally, another favorite part of Atlas, was the trivia and group activity games! They provide the opportunity to get to know your fellow members, and test your business knowledge.

Advice for New Members:  Don't be afraid to introduce yourself to other members, professors, and employers, and do Atlas "homework"! Members who have been most successful in their major and internship search were those who took our advice to heart. They went home and perfected their resume, built out amazing LinkedIns, formed relationships with their professors, and attended the Terry events we advertised to them! It's easier than you think. Just stop by your professor's office hours to get to know them or make it a goal to attend 3 Terry events per month. You'll be amazed at the connections you are able to make.

Class of 2020                         LinkedIN

Professional Experience: Deloitte National Leadership Conference Participant, Finance Management Analyst Intern at Bank of America, Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company

Campus Involvement: Women in Finance mentor, Mind Blowers math tutor, MBSA member, Intern for a Day participant

Favorite Part of Atlas: My favorite part of Atlas was my mentorship experience by being mentored as well as serving as a mentor. Coming to UGA and joining Atlas as a freshman, I was very overwhelmed by Terry and all of the potential majors and attached career options. When I was assigned a mentor she really supported me and helped me plan a path for my time in college. Once I joined the executive board I was very excited to begin mentoring new members and hope that I have helped them all in some way. I enjoying being able to "give back" once others had helped me along.

Advice for New Members: Realize that there is no "right path" in Terry to get to your dream job. Make sure you get involved with clubs and organizations that you are truly passionate about. Always remember that it is not just what the clubs can do for you or the connections they will provide but what you can do for that club and the ways you can make them better. Never lose sight on your end goal and if you need help getting there, never hesitate to reach out to upperclassmen/Atlas exec as they will always be happy to help.

Professional Experience: Investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York; various product management and go-to-market roles at AppDirect in San Francisco

Campus Involvement: Founder and President of Atlas, President of Corsair Society, Homecoming Court Finalist, Deer Run Fellow, Terry Alumni Board Student of the Year

Favorite Part of Atlas: Being a part of the personal development journey that arises from the curiosity, vision and hard work of the students.

Advice for New Members: We all have the same 168 hours in a week. Our lives and our consequences will largely be a function of how we spend that time--our most precious resource. Take a piece of paper, place it next to your resume, and write down the most exciting and impactful things in the world on that sheet of paper that feel authentic to you. Don't hold back, dream without limits. Why not make your life's resume, your body of work, look like this?

Now organize your hours in such a way that everyday you are working toward realizing the life you've dreamed. We wildly underestimate the benefit of the compounding effects of taking just one small step everyday toward our goals.
